Wedding Florals
April — Autumn

When Alex first approached me with a few words that immediately got me excited. Installations (plural), warm whites, champagne and coppery tones set against bluey greens, tying in the families tartan. La Lumiere, Flagship, Jackson Bright and The McCallum Residence. This request came through in amongst a sea of white and green weddings, so I was sold.

Fraser and Alex celebrated their wedding over the Easter weekend and while the forecast looked less than ideal in the lead-up, the weather turned in their favour, delivering a glorious autumn weekend by the water. The ceremony took place on the beach beneath the round gold arch from Pretty Prop Shop, styled with lush, textural greenery and blooms. One of my favourite design moments was the garden-style aisle, pockets of florals and foliage seemingly springing from the ground, creating a meandering, organic path to the altar. These were later repurposed to frame the bridal table at the reception, a thoughtful, impactful design detail.

Two flagship tents set the scene for the celebrations, the Manhattan for the reception, and the Boston for dancing and drinks. Inside the Manhattan, tables were styled with layered florals on crisp white stands and warm copper vessels. Overhead, we collaborated with La Lumiere to install a 4-metre floral and gold pendant lighting feature which was an undeniable wow moment that transformed the space.

Later, guests moved through to the Boston tent where the party truly came to life, complete with a playful installation of dripping florals intertwined with shimmering gold disco balls. The overall atmosphere was fun, immersive, and utterly magical.

Fraser is a local Clevedon lad so the delightful couple used as many local vendors as they could, for example Alex’s stunning gown was a Dell’Amore Bridal number, and how utterly perfect it looked on her.
