Wedding Florals
December — Summer

Everything about this glorious couple screams fun, they were perfectly matched with their photographer, Michael Kouki, who is also a barrel of laughs. You can see from scrolling through the album that their day from start to finish was filled with massive smiles and belly laughs.

Wenyu and Jonathan contacted me to discuss fun ways we could decorate the Glasshouse, we decided on a beautiful traditional good luck Chinese palette of reds, yellow, whites and greens. The whites were not focal flowers just soft small accent flowers. We then blended in some midtones like apricots and burnt orange to bridge the colours beautifully. It was important to them to use some New Zealand native ferns and foliage for their international guests to enjoy.

For the ceremony at St Matthews we kept the colours to white and green and hung lush pew florals on every second pew. These later became the pieces that cascaded off the tables at the end of the garlands. At the Glasshouse we created a stunning hanging installation at the large doors which made a striking entrance for the guests and newlyweds, and later became the backdrop for the bridal table. Their was also a large installation over the dance floor which included La Lumiere's clear glass pendants.

The guest tables were set with greenery garlands that tumbled to the floor and we used our white tapered candles in black holders. The bridal table had a full floral garland which finished off the floral framing beautifully.

It was an honour to work with you Wenyu and Jonathan and I hope your marriage is as happy as your wedding day.
